April 29, 2009 Morning

Allison had a great night! Her blood gases were good, and she got another "spa" breathing treatment, so she was a happy girl. After her treatment, the nurse said they were finally able to suction a bunch of "yuckies" from her chest and now she's all the way down to 30% oxygen and still without the ventilator (for reference, room air is only 21%)! Today she has her first eye doctor exam. The Neonatal Ophthalmologist will be in to examine her eyes and see if her extreme prematurity caused any problems with her vision.
