April 27, 2009 Morning

Allison had a really good night. Her blood gases were good this morning so her ventilator was turned down to a rate of 10! She only had one little spell overnight where she "forgot" to breathe, which becomes a bit bigger of a"deal" now that her vent is so much lower, but her nurse didn't think that was going to deter the doctor from taking it out because these babies just do that sometimes. We'll see what the doctor says later this morning, but we are hopeful she'll get a chance to be off the ventilator today.
