April 28, 2009 Morning

Allison had a great night--she has been off her ventilator for 14 hours now! Her blood gases were really good at Midnight, the 4am ones were a little off, but still considered good, so they are hopeful she can keep it up. She had 3 little "spells" last night of apnea, so when I called this morning, she and her nurse were having "words"; meaning the nurse (Tammy) was putting Allison on her back because she got too comfy on her tummy and Allison was having absolutely NO part of it, trying to get back on her tummy. I am staying out of this one. :)
