Just got back from visiting with Allison. We enjoyed 2.5 hours of Kangaroo time today and she did great--her body temperature was 98.2 when we got done, which means she maintained it pretty well. She has been off her ventilator for a full 48 hours now and is still hanging in there, she has some spells where she forgets to take "big girl breaths" and her heart rate drops, but she snaps right out of them with a little pat on the back. She was really sleepy before they gave her to me, and of course, wide awake when we were done cuddling. :) She's also up to 2lb, 7 oz today!
...and this Grandma thinks she is the cutest thing goin'!
