May 31, 2009 Afternoon

Allison is feeling much better today! She is awake, alert and trying to pull every wire and tube out. And... she is 4 lbs today! As you can see, she also has learned the fine art of the "binky" or pacifier--and she can do it all by herself. She is still having a bit of trouble with her digestion, so Dr. Vogel started her on a medication that may help, we'll see how it goes. If she can get back to eating and digesting properly, Dr. Vogel said today she can get out of her incubator and into an open crib. yay!
