We found out today that Allison has a staph infection. They believe the source is in her left arm, where her IV was placed last week when she was a bit sick. They started her on an additional antibiotic, Nafcillin, that is particularly effective for these infections. She seems a bit more perky today, so hopefully the antibiotics and some good rest will continue to make her feel better. It is heartbreaking for us because the poor girl has been through so much and worked so hard and this will probably set her back a few weeks and make it all the longer before we get to bring her home.
