Allison is having a great day. The little stinker pulled a fast one on her nurse, Michelle, today--Michelle hadn't been on duty since Allison started bottle feeding and didn't realize how quickly she guzzles it down--by the time Michelle looked down, Allison had taken the entire 60cc bottle! And, she had no residual--digested it ALL! I got to feed her at 3pm and she took 55cc for me--hungry girl! So, Dr. Esparza is going to move her back to the higher calorie NeoSure formula vs. the Sensitive type she had been on, we think she is ready and able to digest the NeoSure again and she really needs the extra nutrients it has specially for preemie babies. She was a little cool today when I took her temperature, but Dr. Esparza isn't worried just yet, she thinks as she gets more calories and bulks up, she'll hold her temperature better, so they are going to give her more time to adjust. she also has gone a full week without an apnea spell, so she is off her caffeine medication now--yay!
On a side note, I want to thank the ladies at Hyundai who threw a baby luncheon for Allison today--you will never know how much we appreciate your generosity! xoxo :)
